Finally a return home from overseas (at least for one of us) and a mind-numbing stint of 14 days in quarantine! Talk about mental torture! The good part is that there are no health issues and we have used the time to pour some love into a website overhaul. It is also a huge relief that the lockdown has ended (at least in some states) as we have a bad case of isolation symptoms and really need to get out for some proper Expedition therapy adventures again. Sometimes there is just too much work and not enough time for what really matters in life!
Speaking of adventures, if you haven’t seen the YouTube escapades of Nath and Dan from @WildReaches, you really need to take a look. These two guys are having a ball in Cape York, North Queensland, making the most of this rugged, beautiful region with their 4WD and tinny. Their first series was one of our favourites. The guys pushed a tinny down the Wenlock River towards the West Coast whilst chasing barra and camping on the river banks. The next series is already promising new adventures and challenges, but of a type only experienced on the East Coast of the Cape.
Another one of our favourite YouTube channels, which many of you spearos and Far Northerners might be familiar with already, is Back 2 Basics Adventures. These guys are living the dream, camping, fishing and spearfishing the best the North has to offer and have been showing it all off for some time now, too. Great work on the videos guys. Keep an eye out for their next Cape York adventure coming up soon.
 Welcome to Mule Expedition Outfitters
Last month we had the opportunity to send a pallet load of our Expedition134 boxes over to the US, thanks to Isaac at Norweld. This month, we have the pleasure of welcoming Mule Expedition Outfitters, from Seattle, into the team as our first US dealer!
Mule specialises in the fit-out of Expedition and Overlanding vehicles for the North American market and has a huge range of great options, including a heap of Aussie gear. We are super excited to be working with the Mule team and looking forward to seeing where in the US the Expedition134 boxes might turn up! If you are in the US and have some of our boxes, please send us a pic of just how you are using them and where you manage to take them!
 Expedition Power Easy by JTS
This stuff is awesome. We can’t believe the great work being churned out by the team at Jamie’s Touring Solutions with the fit-out of Expedition Power Easy boxes. This is cutting-edge stuff. We can really see these portable Lithium power solutions becoming part and parcel and the way of future camping.
No more gas bottles with these things either. Induction stovetops and coffee machines all become a reality with a portable power solution that can be moved around between the 4WD, boat and campsite. For a bit more information, take a look at them here.
Tentworld Australia
Tentworld is now also on board Team Expedition134 and is stocking the boxes if you are interested in having a closer look at them and have a store near you. Tentworld has a nationwide network with stores in each state. We’re excited to have this partnership in place, allowing us to bring our Expedition134 boxes to you at Australia’s best camping retailer. You can find a list of Tentworld locations on our website here.

North Qld Showcase of the Month – BOSS BOATS NQ
Shane and Trish Stroud and their team at Boss Boats NQ are custom making what has to be one of the best new and innovative boats that we have seen for a while. The finish and fit-out is simply superb and we doubt you’ll find better anytime soon.
With six metres of length, full casting decks all-round and 300 racing bred ponies on the back, and the most advanced electronics package imaginable, these boats are at the top of the custom barra and bass fisherman’s Christmas wishlist. They even have a drawer fridge between the skipper and the deckie’s seats to easily find a coldie on a hot day!
Expect to see more from these guys in the pro-fishing circuits very soon.
OPEN SKY TOURING REVIEWS
from 84 reviewsIt fits... Stanley socket set and screwdriver set, spanner roll (large), hammer (med) , 2x vice grips, Allen keys set, 2x bum wipe, a restraint bag (6x 500kg ratchets&straps), kings recovery kit, kingcrome 80amp jumper leads, a 200mm x 250mm x 150mm box with wheel nuts/studs, cable ties ect, a roll of paper towel, a large total tool breaker bar (diagonal) and wheel sockets. Plus little wires and stuff i find. Can recommend.
Three fit perfectly along the width of my ute tray. Kept out red dust and rain with no issues, and are a great size to prevent you overfilling them and being unable to lift easily! No metal components on the hinges, so don’t have to worry about rust with all the salty gear that got thrown in the boxes.
The quality of the products are great and to be a Australian product worth it. The first aid kits are well stocked.
Very happy awesome box
Another great Aussie product, simple and easy to fit.
Impressed with the quality, not much use yet but if it performs as good as it looks I be even more impressed.
Great storage box and tie downs. Secure with locking points. Easy to open to access without removing straps. Straps have a clip to easily disengage when taking off. Dust proof. No problems in/out of byfield national park.
Excellent product, absolutely fit for purpose.
Awesome aussie made product, top notch service!!!
Quad Expedition134 Pack
Awesome !!!!
Great quality, love the tie downs and their anchor points, box fits on my spare fridge slide perfectly and I can use as a pantry box
Recently tried out these Expedition134 storage boxes. They are rippers! Aussie Made and Owned! They are great for boat, the 4wd, or around camp.
So easy to clean. You can lock them. You can open them without having to undo tie downs. And seal up great to protect you gear! Can’t say enough about them. Thanks Open Sky Touring for designing these great Aussie boxes!
Once again my delivery from Open Sky Touring arrived without a problem and I knocked the boxes together easily. I love these boxes and when finances allow will purchase another three. These are simply the best boxes on the market.
Strong, versatile and easy to store in camper trailer
