The Expedition134:
A Secure & Tough Storage Box for Emergency Services

The Expedition134 is an Aussie-made storage box 100% designed and developed by a 100% Australian-owned company. Careful attention to detail and innovative craftsmanship has resulted in a tough, durable and secure storage box that can be accessed quickly and easily. These features make the Expedition134 the perfect storage box for emergency services and first responders, particularly in harsh Australian environments.

The innovative design behind the Expedition134 is based on years of experience in the outdoors, including many years of first responder duties both in the cities and in remote rural communities. As a result, the Expedition134 has numerous convenient features missing on other storage systems. With the Expedition134, we’ve created a durable, reliable and convenient storage solution for law enforcement and emergency services.

The tough-as-nails 55-litre storage box has been injection moulded, enhancing its overall strength and durability while reducing weight. Although the storage box only weighs 3.95 kilograms, the lid is rated to handle up to 120-kilogram loads.

The storage box’s flat internal floor makes it ideal for packing emergency services equipment, including sample jars, medical equipment and duty gear. This design also makes the storage box easy to clean. They are also easily stacked on top of each other, with the base of one box locking into place with the lid of another. As such, they won’t slide around when you’re rushing to respond to an emergency.

Unlike other heavy-duty storage boxes, the Expedition134 has no metal parts that will rust or corrode. This unique design makes it ideal for emergency services and first responders operating in marine environments. The Expedition134 is also one of the most secure storage boxes on the market. We’ve added latches for quick locking, but also given you the option of adding a padlock for extra security of valuable or important emergency equipment.

Another important feature of the Expedition134 is the custom seal design. This weatherproof seal protects your emergency and medical equipment from moisture, dust and the elements. The Expedition134 storage box also comes in four different colours, allowing colour-coding to assist with rapid identification of contents for quick deployment. The external tie-down points also allow you to easily access your emergency equipment without wasting time undoing straps.

The Expedition134 storage box offers excellent value for those needing tough and durable storage for work in challenging environments. It provides security, convenience and reliability for those working in harsh and high-risk environments where lives and homes are often at stake.

Open Sky Touring was established in 2015 by Ben Kincade and Nic McKenzie, after a breakdown situation in the Simpson Desert. Combining nearly 38 years of Emergency Response experience with years of remote travel, and some innovative thinking, we developed the Expedition134 brand of products. Tough, Lightweight, Secure, Stackable, Storage options for those who rely on their gear to work properly, each time, every time.

As proud Aussies we also 100% make our gear in Australia and go out of our way to support other small Aussie businesses as well. Our Expedition134 storage boxes are made in Brisbane, and our unique, quick-release straps are custom made in the small rural Queensland town of Mareeba. Accompanying our own products are what we consider is other quality made gear that we have used and proven ourselves, and as we find more items that we love, this range may expand even further.
