Here at Open Sky Touring we’re proud to be an official Community Friend of the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation has supported almost 90,000 families since 2005, by providing dedicated McGrath Breast Care Nurses to help individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

When Ben and I started the business, we decided that it was important that we were involved in putting back into the community as our business developed.Whilst researching just how we wanted to do this, my wife Kari, who is an Occupational Therapist in Cancer Care working with people affected by cancer on a daily basis, suggested we support the McGrath Foundation.By supporting the McGrath Foundation, we would be supporting the tremendous role and practical help the McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide to individuals and their families affected by breast cancer throughout Australia.

Because of our personal connection in Cancer Care, we have signed an agreement with the McGrath Foundation to become a McGrath Foundation Community Friend.

What Does the McGrath Foundation Do?

The McGrath Foundation raises money to place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they’re needed around Australia. McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support, from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.

The McGrath Foundation funds 151 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, who have supported almost 90,000 families since 2005.

It costs around $140,000 to fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for a year including training and development.
